The first broadcast partner of the UFC in Romania, TELESPORT aired the recent UFC 88: BREAKTHROUGH event, featuring Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell vs. “Sugar” Rashad Evans, and received a 4.5 percent market share for the premiere and a 3.5 percent market share for its replay later that evening.

New York, NY, September 17, 2008 – The Ultimate Fighting Championship® and Spike TV have joined forces to present “UFC Fight For The Troops™”, a special three-hour live televised event on Wednesday, December 10 starting at 9:00 PM, ET to raise funds to build a treatment center for the brave men and women in the United States Armed Forces who have experienced traumatic brain injuries. The facility is being sponsored, built and equipped by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The announcement was made today by Dana White, UFC President and Kevin Kay, Spike TV President.

The goal of “UFC Fight For The Troops” is to raise the necessary funds for The National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), an advanced research facility in Bethseda, MD dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health issues.

Tickets on Sale Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11am PT

Las Vegas, NV (USA) – The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) today announced that tickets for what is expected to be the biggest UFC event in history will go on public sale this Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11am PT.

“Our estimates project that UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar will be the highest grossing UFC pay-per-view event in history,” said Dana White, UFC President.

Las Vegas, NV (USA) – On November 15th, the champ is back.

Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White today announced that after a year away from the game, UFC® heavyweight champion Randy “The Natural” Couture will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon to defend his title against rising star Brock Lesnar in a clash of titans destined to shake the foundations of the sport. This championship bout, the biggest heavyweight title fight in years, will headline UFC 91: COUTURE vs. LESNAR, live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008.
