Weight classes:
Heavyweight – 205.1 lbs. and over
Light Heavyweight – 185.1 lbs. to 205 lbs.
Middleweight – 170.1 lbs to 185 lbs.
Welterweight – 155.1 lbs. to 170 lbs.
Lightweight – 145.1 lbs to 155 lbs.
Featherweight – 145 lbs. and under
Bout duration:
Preliminary bouts - 3 rounds of 3 minutes
Regular bouts – 3 rounds of 5 minutes
Championship bouts – 5 rounds of 5 minutes
*1 minute rest period between each round
Fouls / Illegal techniques:
1. Holding or using the ropes in any way*
2. Butting with the head***
3. Eye gouging of any kind*
4. Biting**
5. Hair pulling*
6. Fish hooking*
7. Groin attacks***
8. Inserting a finger into any orifice or into any cuts suffered by opponent*
9. Small joint manipulation*
10. Striking to the spine or to the back of the head*
11. Striking an opponent with the point of the elbow*
12. Striking an opponent in the throat*
13. Grabbing the opponent by the throat*
14. Clawing, pinching or scratching an opponent*
15. Kicking or stomping the head of downed opponent***
16. Kneeing the head of a downed opponent***
17. Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck***
18. Intentionally kicking to the kidney area or back of the head*
19. Throwing an opponent outside of the ring***
20. Holding the shorts or the gloves of the opponent*
21. Spitting at an opponent**
22. Engaging in an unsportsmanlike conduct that causes an injury to opponent**
23. Using abusive language in the ring*
24. Attempting to strike the opponent after referee has ordered a break***
25. Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the referee**
26. Attacking an opponent after the bell has sounded***
27. Ignoring the instructions of the referee***
28. Interference by the corner**
29. Refusing to fight*
